The definitive release of these sessions can be found on Follow That Dream's limited edition The Pot Luck Sessions 5xCD set, where everything has been mixed and remastered from scratch, and all masters and outtakes are presented in the best possible sound.
Unsurpassed Masters has a strange
stereo mix on songs from this session, with Elvis'
vocals in the left channel. These are possibly
taken from a 2-Track stereo tape, rather than
the original 3-Track tape.
The movie Tickle Me features '(Such An) Easy
Question' with overdubbed orchestral backing,
done during post production of that movie in October 1964.
A remixed version of '(Such An) Easy Question' can be found on the 1980 1st pressing of
the German RCA release Elvis Forever Volume 2.
Elvis originally recorded the song 'Night Rider' on October 16 1961.
The master from today's session was first released
on the Time Life Elvis Presley Collection CD set
(Volume 11) Treasures 1960 / 1963.
Elvis can be heard singing part of the song 'South
Of The Border' before take 4 (complete take)
of 'You'll Be Gone'.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
