All tracks on Celluloid Rock have
channels reversed to the same tracks on the Memory
release Elvis Sings Girls! Girls! Girls!,
with Elvis' vocals in either the left or right
channel. A better stereo image with Elvis' vocal
centred, is presented on the same tracks on FTD's Girls! Girls! Girls! extended soundtrack, Double Features - Kid Galahad / Girls! Girls!
Girls!, Out In Hollywood and Elvis Aron Presley.
At 1:16 of 'I Don't Want To' on Celluloid
Rock the channels reverse, this may be a
fault in the mastering, but the same track on Elvis Sings Girls! Girls! Girls! (Memory)
doesn't have this fault.
The record version master of 'Thanks To The
Rolling Sea' on Celluloid Rock and Elvis Sings Girls! Girls! Girls! (Memory) has a longer fade out compared to the
same master on FTD's Girls! Girls! Girls! soundtrack, Double Features.
Take 10 of 'Thanks To The Rolling Sea' on Celluloid Rock and Elvis Sings
Girls! Girls! Girls! (Memory) has a longer
fade out compared to the same take on Elvis Aron
Presley.
An extended Take 10 of 'Thanks To The Rolling
Sea' can be found on the cassette version of
the box-set Elvis Aron Presley, but still has
the shorter fade out.
The movie version' (Take 10) of 'Thanks To The Rolling
Sea' used in the movie, contains
additional overdubbed instruments.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
Thanks to Luuk Bonthond regarding extended versions
of songs on the cassette version of Elvis Aron
Presley.
