Nothing is known about this recording session when Elvis recorded his new vocals to 'I Feel That I've Known You Forever', for inclusion in the movie Tickle Me, but it is thought to be sometime in October 1964 and held at Paramount Sound Stage.
The audio for 'I Feel That I've Known You Forever' (HX-02), containing Elvis' new vocal (dubbed to the original 1962 backing minus the 1962 vocal), still exists without the movie overdubs.
Guitar overdubs were added to 'It Feels So Right' and 'Put The Blame On Me', possibly by Tommy Tedesco.
Although 'In Your Arms' was (submitted and) considered to be reused in the movie, it appears to have been dropped early on and replaced with 'Slowly But Surely'.
The production numbers for 'In Your Arms' and 'Slowly But Surely' are not known, but they are possible J and K.
Long and short versions were produced for most tracks.
'(It's A) Long Lonely Highway' and 'I'm Yours' were released as a single (47-8657) in August 1965 to help promote the movie Tickle Me. However, on the single RCA used Take 1 of '(It's A) Long Lonely Highway' instead of the already released master (Take 2) even though it was Take 2 that appeared in the movie. 'I'm Yours' was also different to the released master as it was minus Elvis' vocal overdub and recitation as featured on the already released master.
Special thanks to Kevan Budd for information about this recording session.
