This is one of the rare occasions where The Jordanaires
appear in the left channel on the final 2-channel
mix. The position of the Jordanaires was preseved
by BMG on the Double Features and FTD's Spinout extended soundtrack mix of the masters, but not on any
of the outtakes.
The Famous Groove 2-CD The Complete Spinout
Session (FG 2331) is arguably the best source
for the session with completely dry vocals, hiss,
possible mid-frequency drop, generation loss and
possibly lacking one of the original 3 channels. Celluloid Rock Volume 2 (Cool Romeo)
has a binaural mix with raised mid-range, high-end
loss and digital echo on the other hand. Apart
from that, it may be of a better analog generation
than the Famous Groove release.
'All That I Am' has strings overdubbed at
a scoring session on June
14 1966.
'When The Swallows Come Back To Capistrano'
(few lines sung after Take 1) and 'Flowers
On The Wall' (two lines sung before Take
17) can be heard spliced together before complete
Take 16 of 'Adam And Evil' on FTD's Out
In Hollywood. The are released in their correct
order on FTD's Spinout extended soundtrack.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
