Notes

Although not listed as a source, this show can also be found on the 2018 5xCD / 2xBlu-ray box-set '68 Comeback Special - 50th Anniversary Edition.

701 shown in brackets refers to the slate / clapperboard number used during filming.

Due to technical problems at the start of the show only the first part of 'Heartbreak Hotel' and the end of 'One Night' can be heard.

The original master of 'Blue Suede Shoes' (LPA5 5817) is spliced from this performance and the performance of 'Blue Suede Shoes' from the 6pm show of June 27. The spliced master was released on the This Is Elvis soundtrack album.

Elvis plays electric guitar on 'Baby, What You Want Me To D'o.

'Trouble / Guitar Man' is Elvis' filmed vocal overdub to the already recorded "After Karate" section 3, recorded on June 21, but with Elvis' original vocals removed from the track. This attempt was abandoned and redone again at the 8.00pm show.

'If I Can Dream' was lip-synched to the already recorded master done at Western Recorders on June 23.

Orchestra rehearsals took place on June 28 and 29 for the songs being performed at this and the 8.00pm show.

The correct order of songs from the black leather suit portion of the NBC-TV Special are as follows:-

Lawdy, Miss Clawdy (June 27 - 8.00pm)
Baby, What You Want Me To Do (June 27 - 6.00pm #2)
Heartbreak Hotel (June 29 - 6.00pm)
Hound Dog (June 29 - 6.00pm)
All Shook Up (June 29 - 6.00pm)
Can't Help Falling In Love (June 29 - 6.00pm)
Jailhouse Rock (June 29 - 8.00pm)
Love Me Tender (June 29 - 8.00pm)
Blue Christmas (June 27 - 8.00pm)
One Night (June 27 - 6.00pm #2)

In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
