Rhythm group repairs and a full orchestral backing
was overdubbed to 'Charro' between November
26 and 27.
On the original release of 'Let's Forget About
The Stars' on the Let's Be Friends LP and
later on The U.S. Male LP, there is a distinct
piano that can be heard over the bridge of the
song which is missing on the Double Features mix. Strangely, the U.S. CD release of Let's
Be Friends from 2007 also uses the Double Features mix instead of the original mix.
In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package. The 2007 remaster of 'Let's Forget
About The Stars' uses the original LP mix with
piano.
